Cruisers Hit their Stride!

Nick Ware, President of the Golden City Cruisers, presents a check for $1000 to Sgt. Greg Holcomb of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, to be used in support of the S.T.R.I.D.E. program. Students Trained Responsibly in Driver’s Education is a safety program aimed at teaching driving skills to young Carroll County drivers. Each year the Golden City Cruisers, a local car club dedicated to community service, picks an organization to sponsor with their Car Show. An Editorial in the “Times-Georgian” introduced the Cruisers to the relatively new STRIDE program. This year’s selection seemed like a natural choice, given the importance of safety, youth, and cars.
